To work as a professional Mermaid specific licences are necessary. In case of dangerous acts or risky dives it is also important to be professionally insured.

Qualification's Included:

PADI (Professional Association of Diving Instructors) is an international Dive Company for hobby divers as well as for dive professionals. The licence that is achieved, expresses the level of knowledge as well as the level of training.
The MSDT (Master Scuba Diver Trainer) is one of the higher pro-licences. It defines that the Person is able to take full responsibility of other divers, giving dive courses to beginners as well as already certified divers and that emergency plans can be provided as well as managed.
It also includes to be able to dive and teach under more complicated circumstances (f.e. in deeper locations, inside and around caves as well as wrecks and strong currents).

Every MSDT needs to be able to provide and teach first & second care.

A medical examination for diving fitness has to be completed once a year.

The CMAS (Confédération Mondiale des Activités Subaquatiques) and VDST (Verband Deutscher Sport Taucher) are two european dive companys. The TL** ( Zweistern-Tauch-Lehrer) is the equivalent to the PADI MSDT Licence.

These licences are translated into european dive-laws.

The EFR-Instructor (Emergency First Response) is a first and secondary care provider combined with the MSDT. It includes the teaching of CPR and the willingness to provide help in medical issues.

In the diving-communtity it is taught with a special attention to diver-medic.

The Rescue Diver and the Rescue Swimmer Are two more licences which do not come without the EFR Course it’sself.

For this licence there are special drills in situation of lost, unconcious and non breathing divers or swimmers.

The Freedivers Licence by VDST stands for itsself. It says that breath-hold-diving up to 25m should be enough.

To be able to model and perform underwater, especially under hazardous conditions, physical fitness and health is a must.

Michelle works out (cardio and weightliftig) six days a week.

For performances and stunts she traines dancing and martial arts around once or twice a week.

To improve her freediving skills she exercises freediving, yoga and meditation as often as possible. These are the most important sessions of her general training.

Since Michelle was 4 years old she already took dancing classes.

She started first with ballet continued with a standard Dance Experience and last did a lot of showdance which includes any type of dance style.

She also joined many dance competitions all over germany and abroad.

During her Diving Education, Michelle learned how to perform stunts underwater.

Since the begnning of 2019 She also receives an education in Martial Arts and Self Defence

Michelle stood model underwater and on land for scuba eqipment as well as for other sportswear.

DAN (Divers Alert Network) is a company for Dive Insurances.

Michelle has got her own pro-Insurance by DAN as well as another dive pro insurance by the VDST.

To expand her work and to be able to communicate with more people around the globe, Michelle speaks fluently in German and English. Because she lived in Spain for around 4 years she knows how to communicate well in Spanish too.
